Position Overview

In this role you will be evaluating customer credit applications, making collection calls, and filing lien and bond claims to support our Operating Companies in the Pacific Northwest from Oregon to Montana. Compensation: Annual Salary DOE w/ Annual Bonus

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
  • Review credit data to evaluate commercial loan requests to approve or deny applications.
  • Analyze credit history and information related to applications for credit and overdue/delinquent accounts.
  • Ensures compliance with credit and collections regulations and adherence to best practices.
  • Provides reporting on outstanding account balances, credit applications, and collection activity.
  • Recommends terms and conditions pertaining to credit and debt repayment.
  • Makes daily collection calls on small balance accounts
  • Conducts account research and analysis
  • Prepares and maintains various reports
  • Sends statements to customers
  • Interacts with customers to resolve outstanding issues
  • Prepares collection letters, notice of intent to lien, and lien documents as required
  • Verifies credit history information for new accounts
  • Responds to all customer inquiries relating to credit references
  • Inquires as to problems or delays with payment of delinquent invoices
  • Reconciles customer A/R accounts as needed
  • Follows up on short pays and credits with sales staff and customers
  • Maintains and resolves Email requests. (waivers, billing issues, short pays, references, etc.)
  • Inputs information into various customer systems.
  • Regular and timely attendance

  • Other tasks as assigned to meet business needs.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Required Qualifications
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field required.
  • Minimum of two to four years' experience with credit and collection processes and activities, or related.
  • Skilled user in MS Office software and Cloud base technology
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills (make complex ideas easy to understand)
  • Must have strong analytical, problem solving and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Have a willingness to provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
  • Must be self-motivated

Work Environment
  • Office setting
  • This position is a largely sedentary; however, caution needs to be taken when lifting files, boxes, opening file cabinet drawers
  • To avoid injuries to hands, back, and neck, proper ergonomics should be maintained while working at desk/workstation
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
