Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel Brandenburg is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Cost Accountant. The successful candidate will analyze and report on operational data for manufacturing, safety and quality; partner with the operations group in various cross functional areas to provide guidance and assistance on financial related projects; and take a leadership role for the coordination and execution of inventory accounting activity as well as product cost analysis.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
•Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field
•Demonstrated advanced Microsoft Excel skills
•3 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA and/or CMA
