As the Corporate Accounting Manager you will be responsible for accurate and efficient accounting for key corporate accounting processes. This position will also be responsible for increasing the use of system capabilities to create more control ownership along with improved efficiency of accounting processes. What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:

  • Perform and/or oversee effective internal control over consolidation, cost center setup, and maintenance of the chart of accounts.
  • Manage plant accounting and reporting for legacy Toro locations.
  • Increase the use of system capabilities and understanding.
  • Provide timely accounting, reporting, and system guidance to support the organization through business changes and strategic projects.
  • Create a finance environment that provides excellent service to its customers, is easy to do business with, has a sense of urgency, continuously improves, and quickly adapts to change.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key functional areas in corporate, operations and the divisions. Collaborates with key partners in these areas to develop the best possible solutions for the enterprise (breaks down silos).
  • Perform other tasks and assignments as requested.

What Do You Need?

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field required.
  • Certified Public Accountant strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in accounting or finance including GAAP and FASB compliance required.
  • Relevant big 4 accounting firm experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with all levels of employees.
  • Ability to work well in a fast paced, team centered environment.
  • Drive for - and proven success in driving - continued improvement of business, function and self.
  • Leverages technology and systems to drive efficiencies.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Strong leader/coach with focus on career/professional development of staff.
  • Advanced ERP knowledge (SAP preferred), Advanced Microsoft Excel and intermediate Microsoft PowerPoint and Word skills required; OneStream system experience valued.
