As part of the firm’s Client Development team, this position is responsible for assisting the Client Development Department with all aspects of design and production of digital and printed advertising and marketing materials, presentations, demonstrative materials (organizational structure charts, complex diagrams, infographics etc.), website and email marketing graphics as well as fulfilling additional graphic needs while maintaining artistic continuity by ensuring brand standards. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong foundational design skills and an ability to emulate brand and design standards while collaborating with the Client Development team to produce compelling communications that are properly targeted. This is a Firmwide, full time, exempt position, resident in either our Austin, Dallas, or Houston offices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Coordinator will create/update designs such as advertisements, handouts, brochures, presentations, signage, and other printed marketing collateral, as well as create digital materials, audio and video for use online through the company’s website, social media, and email campaigns.

This position will be responsible for graphic design and brand image activities, including:

  • Design client newsletters, brochures, internal and external publications and various marketing collateral for promotional purposes, RFP responses and for use at events, on the website and other areas
  • Assist the department in defining and maintaining adherence to brand guidelines
  • Keep current on design trends and new software and enhance skills on current software used
  • Manage the firm’s GettyImages account and photographs for invitations and collateral
  • Ensure that lawyer photos meet standards and maintain the firm’s lawyer photos libraries across multiple platforms
  • Be responsible for developing all collateral either independently or with outside design assistance.
  • Creating and maintaining a library of graphics and images available for use by all Client Relations staff
  • Assist with visually effective PowerPoint templates and presentations, design and graphics, including maps, charts, graphs and infographics
  • Develop all website and email marketing graphics including banners, page headers and graphics for embedding within the site.
  • Proactively suggest graphic ways of displaying complex data
  • Training others on the Marketing team to perform certain basic graphic tasks
  • Other tasks and special projects as assigned

Knowledge and Skills
  • Must have completed a BA or BS Degree (fine arts, design, communications, or marketing); with a portfolio of recent print and digital projects
  • Must have strong production skills, understand the printing process and color management, the ability to effectively prioritize, manage multiple projects, organize large numbers of projects and assets, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced high-accuracy environment
  • Proven skills in: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Word, PowerPoint; Excel, Outlook, Smartsheets
  • Ability to translate graphics into the Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Knowledge and experience with other multi-media software (some HTML5 experience preferred).
  • On occasion, simple video editing skills may be required.
  • This is a fast-paced environment and flexibility is required.
  • Position requires extensive telephone use, the ability to sit for extended periods of time, as well as the ability to walk, stand, lift approximately 15 pounds, bend, and climb stairs on occasion.
  • Position requires work hours in excess of standard workday and work week, especially during peak events seasons.
  • Occasional travel to firm functions and training sessions.
  • Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively as a team member.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate with staff and lawyers.
Working Condition and Environment
  • Position is full-time, requiring a 5-day work week and standard hours as outlined in the Firm policy manual. Additional hours may be required occasionally when necessary to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19, subject to accommodation.
  • This role may be hybrid and will require a minimum of three days per week (or at least 60%) present in the office, and up to two days per week (40%) may be performed remotely.
