Job Description:
ECS is seeking a Conference Room Support Technician to support a major national laboratory.
You will provide end-user support with processes for managing and delivering services that are ITIL® conformant. Resolve incidents, service requests, and problems associated with service failures or degradations that are related to hardware and software computing devices (including mobile equipment). Additionally, support multi-user rooms (e.g., Skype rooms, classrooms) and video and collaborative technologies.
Computer Field Services provide second-tier, desk-side computer support of computing hardware and software in NM, CA, D.C., and NV. Support is provided in both the unclassified and classified arenas, across the general campus, including in high-security buildings (HSBs).
The operating systems supported include approved and authorized versions of MS Windows, MacOS, and Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu). The hardware supported includes laptops, desktops, thin/zero clients running desktop-as-a-service (DaaS), virtual-desktop infrastructure, and associated peripheral devices.
Day-to-day tasks include:
- Unclassified and Classified Videoconference event scheduling
- Coordination of technical support for unclassified and classified videoconference meetings and videoconference dial in information
- Provide end user support via phone and remote setup of Videoconferences calls
- Secure Videoconference bridge and meeting setup support within the DOE/NNSA Enterprise Secure Network and DoD Secure Network Environments.
- Videoconference and Skype, Microsoft Teams, & Crestron system training support
- Troubleshooting of conference room audio/video equipment
- Troubleshooting of windows-based PCs, Thin Clients, & Zero Clients
Required Skills: - HS diploma
- Minimum of two years' demonstrated experience in a fast-pace, IT Support arena.
- Intermediate-to-advanced MS productivity suite & collaborative applications expertise
- Intermediate-to-advanced desktop support & trouble shooting skills for Windows
- Excellent customer service skills.
Desired Skills: - CompTia Certifications, such as A+ or Network+ are desired.
- Microsoft Certifications, such as MCSA Windows or MSA Office are desired.
- Experience creating & maintaining Windows images & deploying them to multiple machines.
- Experience with Skype/Teams video conferencing & video conference room equipment.
- An Active DoE or DoD Clearance is desired.
