Concrete Finisher - Savannah, Georiga

Performs the pouring and finishing of concrete on roads, curbs/gutter and sidewalks.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Removes broken concrete; ensures concrete forms are set into position for pouring concrete; ensures appropriate concrete depth is attained.
Pours concrete; finishes surfaces of fresh concrete on roads, walkways, curb/gutter and other construction areas; ensures specific grade and contour is in compliance with specifications and plans.
Strips forms; back fills open areas; replaces disturbed landscaping; performs general clean-up.
Digs and fills holes; patches cuts and holes in roads.
Conducts repairs on storm drain inlets.
May serve as relief truck driver, equipment operator or general labor.

Employee works on average ten (10) hours per day, five days (and occasionally six days) per week. All work is performed outdoors in Florida heat and rain; and around heavy highway traffic areas.

The physical requirements of the job include standing, kneeling, walking, lifting, bending, stooping, pulling and pushing throughout the day.
