Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, instructional course development, maintaining office hours, teaching at various locations, providing academic advising, planning and revising curriculum, participating on committees, and attending college-wide activities. Candidate must be able to adapt, and function in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology and demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate education.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

This position requires a master's degree in either Computer Science, Information Technology (Systems), or a related field with 18 graduate hours in Computer Science and/or Information Technology. Candidates with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science related field with three (3) or more years of professional programming experience will be considered. Preferred candidates will be currently enrolled in a master's degree program.

Preferred Qualifications

Programming experience using an object-oriented programming language, such as Java, Python, C#, and C++ is required. Experience utilizing web technologies such as, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, and PHP for web development is also preferred. A comprehensive programming/development background is essential, especially in using programming as a problem-solving tool. Preference will also be given to candidates with teaching experience at the college level. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are also essential.
