Central Engineering - Productivity Engineering (CE-PE) within Arm provides the common capabilities and platforms used by all of Arm's engineering teams to craft and develop IP products, and commit to the methodology changes to improve the efficiency.

Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking candidate with a strong container and Kubernetes background to join our cloud software team in CE-PE. Through software development, we provide capabilities on the evolution of our compute platform to meet both existing and future needs of the engineering requirements.

Responsibilities:

During the internship, you will be exposed to workflows on scalable cloud solutions that can achieve or even improve the throughput using Kubernetes systems. You are encouraged to work closely with the engineering and operation teams to understand the key components of the high throughput systems and the fundamentals of the workflows, and be able to migrate the dependencies and automate the execution on different cloud providers.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Currently pursuing a MS or PhD in electrical engineering, computer science or a related technical field
  • Hand-on experience with one or more cloud services, such as AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.
  • Extensive experience with different flavors of Kubernetes, such as EKS, GKE, or Rancher, and the operation of them including deployment, monitoring and performance tuning
  • Excellent software development skills with multiple languages including Python, Shell, Go, C, and Java, along with excellent problem-solving and debugging abilities
  • Knowledge of HPC systems, cluster management, provision tools, and job schedulers
"Nice To Have" Skills and Experience:
  • Experience with EDA tools is a plus
