Position: Maintenance Technician
Shift: 3rd Shift

Pay Grade: $21.65/hr and up

Shift Pay: $1.00/hr

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

This Maintenance Generalist position could include working in various departments of this poultry processing facility.

Daily tasks will include, but not limited to:

• setting-up, breaking down, and adjusting production line machinery to ensure continuous flow of production.
• basic computer skills will be necessary to log information into Tyson software to process daily work orders and complete required documentation.
• The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
• basic math skills as needed will be necessary to perform this job at a satisfactorily level.
• The positions physical requirements will include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping and the ability to climb ladders, lifts, and scaffolds.
• Lifting will also be required and depending on department could be up to 70lbs.
• Position could be performed in a cold, damp, or hot environment and these areas will have slippery surfaces.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1 year of industrial maintenance experience OR education (i.e. possess industrial maintenance diploma or currently enrolled in technical school) in lieu of experience.

Rehire Consideration:

• 90 days (3 months) waiting period
• Max of two previous Tyson employments to be consider for hire
