C5ISR Field Service Technician

Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is seeking a full-time C5ISR Field Service Technician to work in development of C5ISR Modeling and Simulation systems supporting the U.S. Army C5ISR Center, Ft. Belvoir, VA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conducts maintenance operations for various C5ISR systems in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Regularly perform software, hardware, and network troubleshooting to identify concerns and provide resolution.
• Installation, implementation, and configuration of C5ISR equipment.
• Assist new users with managing system requirements to include data management, data recovery, and techniques to operate/maintain records.
• Utilize various electronic test equipment to include specialized electronic test sets, multi-meters, power meters, oscilloscopes, frequency counters, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, Test, Measurement, & Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).
• Assist in developing and executing C5ISR requirements, coordinate installation and upgrade schedules, and provide technical support as required.
• Responsible for coordinating with local network authority to ensure assigned C5ISR Families of Systems comply with local security policy and configuration standards.

Requirements

• Experience in maintenance of electronic systems with embedded software and firmware
• Experience with Microsoft Windows/Linux/VMWare server and client software, patching, upgrading, and maintenance experience.
• Experienced in determining the cause and location of malfunctions, diagnosing the extent of faults, and conveying the level of maintenance required.
• Navigate through and understand the use of complex Army technical manuals and be able to follow logical procedures with regard for consequences in problem solving; making calculations; and interpreting schematics in the use of high voltage equipment as it pertains to multiple C5ISR ground-to-ground communications systems and subsystems.
• The minimum years of related experience required: 5+ years.

Education

• The minimum level of education required is: High School Diploma (Associate or Bachelor of Science in a technical field preferred).

Other Qualifications

• Security+ Certification or equivalent.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must possess an active Secret clearance.
