The field marketing team is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative to join our growing marketing group. This role will report to the New England Chief of Agency Marketing in partnership with the Chiefs of Agency Marketing across our region.

This newly designed role is an exciting opportunity to be responsible for the tactical and strategic leadership of some of our largest independent agency partners and multistate insurance networks. The ideal candidate is a passionate, forward-thinking individual who can remain flexible and easily adapt as this new position becomes fully developed.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate consistent communication between other Business Development Representatives and effectively deliver accurate and concise reporting to our agency partners and Plymouth Rock stakeholders.
  • Manage Salesforce documentation, monthly reporting and important partner updates to be shared with the internal team on an ongoing basis.
  • Organize and lead quarterly meetings by collaborating with other team members and key partners.
  • Provide meaningful recommendations and positively influence decision making using a data drive market approach:
    • Effectively interpret data and translate findings into digestible snapshots.
    • Positively influence agent behaviors by providing important learnings and recommendations, supported by proven results.
  • Achieve profitable growth goals by closely monitoring and documenting performance results.
  • Develop and regularly maintain annual business plans for assigned partners in coordination with the account team.
  • Effectively present and communicate the Plymouth Rock vision and value proposition to current and prospective partners through verbal and written presentations. Must be comfortable presenting to large audiences.
  • Identify opportunities to address service issues. Work closely with appropriate internal staff to align solutions and communicate resolutions with agents.
  • Maintain thorough and in-depth knowledge of all Plymouth Rock company products, offerings, guidelines and procedures. Provide training for rollover, new business submissions, and company philosophy. Analyze internal changes and clearly communicate impact to staff, as well as the organization.
  • Effectively manage change and conflict. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills are required.
  • Provide relevant and detailed competitor learnings and observations.
  • Prospect new agents or location opportunities within newly acquired agents or large networks.
  • Travel will be required within our six-state region (MA, CT, NH, NJ, PA, NY), as well as occasionally (limited) to other areas of the continental US.
Minimum Requirements:
  • 4-year college degree
  • CIC or CPCU Designation preferred
  • Financial literacy, the ability to understand and effectively interpret financial information of our partners
  • Self-motivated
  • Effective communication skills both orally and written
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Advanced Microsoft products
  • Salesforce.com experience
  • Entrepreneurial and creative approach to challenges and opportunities
