About the role:

WEG Electric Corp. has an a great opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our team. This role is responsible and accountable for growth within specific Industry Accounts, from account development to providing offers, through final negotiations. This position has a national focus and requires frequent travel. Residence near a major airport is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with Field Sales, Customer(s), and factories effectively.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the application, the OEMs, customer visits, etc.
  • Develop industry experience (periodicals, internet research, conference participation, site visits, etc.).
  • Attend industry-specific conferences and report activities quarterly to management.
  • Review request for quotations (specifications, emails, phone calls, etc.).
  • Lead and take ownership of the quotation/opportunity by requesting feedback from Sales or directly from customers, when appropriate.
  • Identify project/customer details vital for determining quotation strategy.
  • Compile an accurate quotation to customers of WEG�s offering.
  • Ability to follow minimum pricing guidelines as established by management.
  • Consistently mentor and train junior team members.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Education:
  • Bachelor�s degree from a four (4) year college or university or university program certificate,
    or 2 to 4 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge / training:
  • Knowledge of Medium Voltage Motors and Drives products and applications.
  • Demonstrates breadth and depth of knowledge of customer needs, as well as knowledge of internal infrastructure and processes.
  • Strong understanding of industry trends, market forces, and customer expectations.
  • Strong knowledge of the most current technologies and products used in the industry.
  • Knowledge of competitor products and go to market strategies.
  • Market research tools.
  • Sales strategies.
  • Microsoft Office.

Experience:
  • 3+ years in industry sales experience.
