Bradford Woods is Indiana University's Outdoor Center. As a key component of the university family, Bradford Woods seeks to promote and further the mission of the university through the teaching, service, programs, and research Bradford Woods provides. For over 50 years Bradford Woods has been providing recreational, educational, and leadership development opportunities to youth and adults locally, nationally, and globally.
Job Summary
Bradford Woods has multiple anticipated part-time positions in leadership, program implementation, and cabin life open for Summer 2022.
One of them is Adventure Challenge.
Department-Specifc Responsibilities
- Include conducting assessments, writing goals and objectives, and keeping documentation throughout the participant's stay at camp.
- In program areas interns will complete population analysis' and be responsible for devising activity plans based upon these analysis' and the goals/objectives of the group.
- Assists with personal and physical care of the participants as well as gain training and experience in the provision of therapeutic recreation services for our participants.

QualificationsEDUCATION
Required- High school diploma or GED.
PreferredWORK EXPERIENCE
Required- Must be completing internship to fulfill NCTRC requirements.
Preferred
- Experience in the human service and/or recreation field.
- Experience working with children.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS
Preferred- CPR and First Aid certifications
SKILLS
Required
- Willingness to learn.
- Flexibility and patience.
- Live on-site during the season.
- Makes judgment decisions in a setting where variables can change quickly, and often without notice (such as weather conditions).
- Ability to easily, effectively, and proficiently communicate needs, feedback, and questions throughout the program.
- Ability to communicate effectively and exchange information.
- Ability to provide a safe, fun environment for all.
Working Conditions / DemandsThis is a physically active position requiring mobility. Ability to move and transfer equipment. Stamina to endure long hours in a position that is both physically and emotionally demanding. Nights will be part of the duties and responsibilities due to our residential capacity.
