The Beltpress Operator will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining a mobile belt press at various treatment facilities and customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General maintenance and operation of a mobile belt press focusing on both quality and quantity of production.
  • Set up and tear down equipment at customers' treatment facilities.
  • Maintain clean equipment and work area including shoveling and hosing.
  • Abide by regulatory compliance and safety guidelines.
  • Operate a tractor-trailer truck on site (non-highway) to stage trailers for loading.
  • Operate additional pumps and ancillary equipment on site.
  • Make down polymer solution for dewatering process.
  • Maintain daily production log.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid state issued driver's license.
  • Willing and able to obtain a Class D Wastewater Operator's license.
  • Work flexible hours to include overtime and weekends as projects demand.
  • Ability to travel as work demands.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Basic mathematical skills and tool knowledge.
  • Ability to follow instructions and perform duties under limited supervision.
  • Ability to operate equipment necessary to perform job.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend reports to accurately complete daily assignments.
  • Ability to judge the distance between equipment and an object.
  • Ability to work in accordance with Company safety policies & procedures, OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) requirements, as well as all local, state, and federal laws.

Physical/Mental Demands:
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach and lift in an outdoor environment 90% of the time.
  • Must be able to use hands and fingers, kneel, crawl, talk, hear, climb and balance.
  • Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to manually lift/move up to 25 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to manually push/move up to 50 pounds with assistance from another employee.

Working Conditions:
  • Outdoors in varying adverse weather; low/high temperatures, wet and/or high humidity or sudden temperature changes.
  • Exposure to outdoor elements, unpleasant odors, small space such as vehicle/equipment cabs, exposure to fumes, dust, or uneven ground.
