Vertiv is hiring a Battery Program Manager in Westerville, OH. This person will manage battery execution programs from inception to launch. Coordinate efforts of application engineering, supply chain, procurement, logistics, services, service providers, finance, sales, and other cross functional groups.

The Battery Program Manager is responsible for coordinated management of multiple related projects, execution of battery projects, customer and field operations support, revenue generation, issue resolution, as well as creation and implementation of process and procedures. The Program Manager must build credibility, establish rapport, and maintain communication with stakeholders at multiple levels, including those external to the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Must be self-starter, adaptable and flexible to operate with minimal direction and little or no supervision while working in a complex and changing environment.
  • Provide executive-level program updates to senior management and executive sponsors.
  • Develop reporting and tracking programs to evaluate project profitability.
  • Develop processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Assist with project management on select projects as required.
  • Assist operation team members as required.
  • Communicate with other managers, upper management, or outside vendors and other plants, as required.
  • Work with customers, key stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure we are meeting the needs of our customers.
  • Assist with all internal and external audit requests.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Master of Business Administration (preferred) and 7-10 years of work experience in Project or Program Management, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated leadership, strong dedication to teamwork and integrity within professional environment.
  • Must have strong proficiency of project financials. Experience with Oracle Alice is a plus.
  • Battery knowledge and general understanding
  • Experience working with or leading international teams.
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion with ability to identify problems and make recommendations for resolution.
  • High degree of organizational skills and solid work ethic.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong conceptual, analytical, and creative capabilities.
  • Affinity for data-driven and goal-oriented decision-making.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to balance attention to details with swift execution
  • Superb communication skills with the ability to deliver complex messages to different audiences.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, with experience in multi-cultural environments.
  • Occasionally able to work nights and/or weekends.
