Job Purpose:Reporting to the Head Athletic Trainer, the incumbent is responsible for the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries foran NCAA Division I program.
Job Summary:- Coordinates and executes athletic training program for assigned sport(s), placing the safety of all student-athletes as the highest priority.
- Communicates with and informs the Head Athletic Trainer regarding any concerns associated with student-athlete welfare.
- Supports the athletic training needs of other sports/programs as necessary.
- Helps maintain inventory of all athletic training equipment.
- Master's degree in athletic training or related field,
- NATA-BOC certification, and
- Eligibility for South Carolina Department of Health & Environmental Control certification.
- At least one year of athletic training experience, preferably at the college level.
- Experience working with track and field/cross-country athletes.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and treat athletic injuries.
- Ability to execute all required functions of a comprehensive athletic training program.
- Ability to accept and successfully complete assigned duties and follow all institutional, Big South and NCAA policies and bylaws.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well with students, parents, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated commitment to high academic standards for student-athletes.
NATA-BOC certification. Eligible for South Carolina Department of Health & Environmental Control certification.
