Area(s) of specialization are open with primary consideration given to candidates who will contribute to the Department's undergraduate and graduate educational missions, research productivity, and service.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a closely related academic field.

The successful candidate is expected to teach core courses in the Department's academic degree programs, have an active research agenda that includes a strong publication record, demonstrated commitment to quality teaching and mentoring of students, and a record of (or potential for) externally funded research.

An established record of scholarship, teaching, and service commensurate with the rank of professor.
