Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Bonobos is looking for a creative and passionate Head of Styling to take our editorial style point of view to the next level.

Founded on a better-fitting pair of pants and the best-in-class customer service around, Bonobos is one of the fastest growing digitally native apparel companies ever.

Reporting to our VP of Design, the Head of Styling will be responsible for planning, driving and executing the overall aesthetic vision of Bonobos through on-figure and soft goods styling. You will be responsible for taking seasonal design concepts and executing the vision across all customer visible outlets, such as Ecomm photography, catalog, and social media.

You will partner with marketing and merchandising to develop and implement a strategy that showcases the brand vision, and serve as a key creative contributor executing an omnichannel strategy across retail, editorial, catalog and e-commerce categories. You will play an instrumental role in bringing our brand vision to life season after season. We have an all-hands-on-deck mentality where the sharing of ideas is encouraged. What you'll do...

  • Contributes to overall company product strategies
  • Lead the direction on Brand aesthetic and POV thru styling
  • Contributing to and executing the company's overall product strategy
  • Lead on-model styling for digital and all marketing assets
  • Stays up to date on menswear and communicates seasonal market trends with cross functional teams
  • Manages an associate stylist who will support in preparing for and styling on-figure shoots
  • Create style out decks for cross-functional teams to review
  • Create Guideshop looks to be shared with Visual who will roll out to all Guideshops
  • Manage freelancers on set who will execute vision
  • Partner with Creative on concepting and casting for editorial shoots
  • Partner with external marketing agencies regularly on projects as needed
  • Lead the direction with our Style Guides that sync up with Design concept for the season
  • Attend high level meetings to actively share market trends and general menswear knowledge that keep the brand relevant and focused
  • Partner with marketing on shared KPI's (like purchase intent) and assess what is successful and what isn't
  • Partner with VP of Design in PR events which showcase the season's collection and be able to communicate styling inspiration and direction
  • Partner with VP of Design to execute seasonal design presentations to present key looks and ideas to cross-functional teams
  • Overlays consumer macro trends to inform seasonal concept development
  • Partners with design leadership create seasonal concepts


You...
  • A positive "all-hands-on-deck" attitude and willingness to get the job done
  • Have 10+ years in relevant on-model menswear styling
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Able to make key decisions, but also knows when to rely on manager
  • Creative eye for design and fashion
  • Have experience with styling on different types of photo shoots- Ecommerce, Campaign, Catalog, etc
  • Have strong menswear background and knowledge
  • Strong knowledge with casting models
  • Have a strong pulse on the trends in the market
  • Have the ability to clearly explain ideas and trends to CF partners and in high level meetings
  • Have experience managing an assistant and freelancers on set- can successfully delegate work and train someone to execute seamlessly
  • Are detailed in your work, while maintaining the ability to see the overall picture and challenge the traditional path
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve team initiatives
  • Comfortable with calendar, deadlines and managing competing priorities
  • Are curious and likes to experiment-adaptable and comfortable with change
  • Convey a can-do, positive attitude towards tackling problems
  • Are able to see other points-of-view while maintaining confident direction
  • Understands how to prioritize and shift workload as business needs shift
  • Ability to deal with managerial issues
  • Have the willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what's necessary

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor's degree in Design, Marketing, Creative Writing, Advertising, Fine Arts, or related field and 4 years' experience in editorial content management or related field OR 6 years' experience in editorial content management or related field.
