Position Summary

Carlyle's Global Credit segment is a leading private credit manager with approximately $48 billion of assets under management, with operations dating back to 1999. Our more than 125 credit investment professionals manage 63 active funds that span the risk return spectrum: from liquid, to illiquid, to real asset solutions.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

Our Global Credit business is looking for an Associate to sit with the Liability Management team. This person should have experience in establishing and managing various leveraged facilities. The Associate will be primarily focused on fund financing. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • maintaining existing leverage facilities
  • working closely with various portfolio managers and other team members within Global Credit to determine specific leverage needs for the business
  • determining optimum leverage solutions, working in coordination with finance providers and legal counsel
  • creating and negotiating term-sheets and credit agreements
  • performing financial analysis and data requests
  • creating marketing presentations
  • working closely with our portfolio managers and finance providers to ensure best execution
  • servicing our Credit teams in order to provide optimum leverage solutions


Qualifications

Education & Certificates
  • Bachelor's degree
Professional Experience
  • The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience, ideally with prior exposure to Credit
  • Proficiency with excel is expected, with comfort analyzing legal documents and knowledge of loan securitizations a plus
Competencies & Attributes
  • Experience organizing and conducting detail-oriented analysis
  • Self-motivated, possess finely tuned communication and presentation skills along with a strong academic record.
  • A team-oriented approach who can work with all areas of Carlyle's Global Credit department
