YETI is actively seeking an Assistant Store Experience Leader to help lead our new store opening in May in Leawood's Town Center Crossing and will report to the Store Experience Leader. You will provide leadership support and direction to the store team and successfully execute company strategies. You will help hire, coach, and motivate a team of brand advocates who in turn will provide a "wow" factor level of customer experience. You drive store profitability by upholding store operational and visual merchandising standards and protecting company assets. You have a customer first mindset, and thrive in fast-paced, ever-changing entrepreneurial environments.

Position Type: Onsite

Responsibilities:

Sales and Profitability

  • Support driving store sales and achieving store sales goals
  • Measure and monitor progress and results against KPIs
  • Manage operating and payroll expenses to maximize sales and profitability as needed
Brand Experience/Customer Service
  • Drive excellence in customer service in store by modeling brand service standards
  • Monitor customer feedback and address all customer concerns quickly
  • Ensure store team engages with each customer to create an authentic brand experience
  • Cultivate customer-centric culture by recognizing and rewarding teams' successes
  • Represent your store as an active brand ambassador within the community, including proactively seeking opportunities to engage with customers in community activations
  • Support execution of store marketing events and grow relationships in the community to generate brand awareness and drive traffic
Training & Coaching Team
  • Coach store team to YETI standard of customer service and engagement, brand identity, product knowledge, and operations
  • Support execution of training programs
  • Ensure team is educated on product and assortment to enhance selling and customer engagement
  • Provide timely training, coaching, and feedback to enable team success and growth
Operations & Inventory
  • Help ensure team follows all company and store policies and procedures
  • Manage stockroom inventory and supply levels and organization
  • Execute inventory receiving and replenishment processes efficiently and accurately
Visual Merchandising
  • Maintain store visual merchandising standards
  • Execute floor-sets and merchandising direction
Talent Management
  • Participate in hiring process
  • Support development of a high-performing team of customer focused Guides and Team Leads
  • Identify performance issues and inform Store Experience Leader
  • Provide on-going specific and timely feedback to the team
  • Ensure compliance with all Talent policies and procedures
Loss Prevention, Safety, & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with loss prevention, safety, and security policies and procedures
  • Support execution of Loss Prevention/Security strategies to meet company shrink goals
  • Address any customer or employee injuries and partner with Talent and Store Experience Leader immediately
Professional Conduct
  • Model behavior that respects the background, experience, and cultural differences of others while upholding the integrity and values of the brand
  • Promote an environment that encourages participation, creativity, inclusivity, and learning by sharing best practices and building on the ideas of others

Qualifications and Attributes:
  • High school diploma required; Associate Degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred but not required
  • At least 3 years of management experience in a fast-paced, high volume retail environment
  • Experience in a specialty retail environment, outdoor apparel industry or experience with outdoor equipment sales preferred
  • Demonstrated success achieving sales and profit results through leading a team
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills founded on an authentic ability to deliver strong customer service
  • Excellent decision-making skills and ability to balance shifting priorities in fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to build, lead, and manage high performing teams
  • Detail orientated and excellent organization skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and retail systems as well as mobile POS
  • Experience executing store community participation and events, with experience planning events preferred
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays

Physical Requirements:
  • Operate office equipment and technology (i.e., computers, phones, copier, etc.)
  • Standing required for entire work shift
  • Bend, lift, open, and move product up to 50 pounds as needed
