The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of flow cytometry/hematology/hematopathology/test development. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. American Board of Pathology, AP/CP or CP.
Teaching responsibilities may include medical students, residents, fellows and post-doctoral students.
Clinical responsibilities may include participation in flow cytometry set up and interpretation, bone marrow analysis, tissue analysis for hematopoietic neoplasms, rotation on the coagulation service and night and weekend call.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include development of an independent and highly collaborative research program (as PI, Co-PI or Co-I) in the area of flow cytometry/hematology/coagulation/hematopathology/test development.
