Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Forming Technology, this position's main objective is design and application of machine clothing products for Andritz. This position is directly responsible for providing support to Sales, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Research, and Marketing for machine clothing products.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Specifies appropriate design and accessories to Manufacturing as customer orders are placed, relying on knowledge of Andritz products and paper machine operation.
  • Makes recommendations and proposals from single positions to complete corporate RFQs.
  • Works and travels with field personal for product presentations, application meetings and paper machine evaluations and recommendations.
  • Works with Research and Product Engineering to develop new products for the market based upon the evaluation of product performance and an analysis of the market potential.
  • Works with Marketing to develop trade names, campaigns, and literature for new and existing products.
  • Provides monthly reports describing product and performance activity to supervisor.
  • Maintains productive relationships with customers, developing good references and staying abreast of issues the customer may be facing.
  • Follows trial installations of Andritz products and competitive products, reporting results to supervisor and other appropriate Andritz groups.
  • Develops and maintains effective PowerPoint presentations that are regularly distributed to Sales.
  • Acts as an ambassador for Andritz with upper management at paper mills.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

  • Applicable Technical Degree preferred with an appropriate level of paper industry technical experience.
  • Paper machine clothing design and applications knowledge and experience preferred.
  • General knowledge of Andritz product technology and paper machine operations in all paper grades.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Goal oriented and self starter, capable of working in team environment.
  • Ability to travel as needed throughout North America, with periodic visits to other global regions.
