Position Summary

The position supports fund accounting and investor financial reporting processes. The Analyst will work closely with Partnership Accounting, Equity Management and Tax departments to enable and streamline accounting processes. The Analyst will provide support to the functional reporting lead within the Fund Accounting (FUA) team and will liaise with the Global Technology & Solutions (GTS) team to help provide requirements around key reports, including investor capital account statements, fund financial statements, ILPA fees and expenses, carry waterfalls, and fund tax PBCs among others. The Analyst will be expected to develop a deep understanding of reporting processes and expected to become a subject matter expert. The Analyst will participate in finance process and system improvement initiatives primarily focused on the Investran platform but will also have involvement with Salesforce, ILM, Appian BPM, PeopleSoft Financials, and OneStream XF technologies. The Analyst will also be responsible supporting change management to ensure success of business process and technology improvement initiatives. The Analyst will also provide support to various accounting teams during financial quarter close as needed.

The Analyst will report to the Associate Vice President of the Fund Accounting Team within Enterprise Process and Support team and provide support to and take direction from the Partnership Accounting and Equity Management leadership teams as needed.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

  • Support Fund Accounting & Investor Financial Reporting Processes:
    • Partnership Expenses
    • Management Fees
    • Capital Account Statements
    • Carry calculations and reporting
    • Fund financial statements
    • Fund tax compliance
    • Capital Calls & Distributions
    • ILPA reporting
  • Functional Reporting Analyst for Partnership Accounting Technology:
    • Fund and Investor Reporting subject matter expert
    • Own and maintain reporting hierarchies in Investran
    • Liaise with Partnership Accounting and GTS to create new reports in Investran/FAM/OneStream/Appian for internal and external customers
    • Support adhoc reporting needs from Investran Report Wizard
  • Finance Process & System Improvement Initiatives:
    • Support ongoing initiatives to streamline and automate Finance operations to meet expedited quarterly reporting deadlines
    • Work closely with upstream/downstream consumers of Partnership Accounting data, including Fund Management, Equity Management, and Corporate Accounting
    • Support change management in Partnership Accounting and Equity Management


Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant functional experience with Investran or similar accounting systems required.
Education and Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
Position-Specific Technical Requirements
  • Accounting systems experience required, Investran preferred
  • Business process management tool experience, Appian preferred
  • Good understanding of fund accounting and financial reporting principles preferred
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills a must
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Private equity or similar industry experience preferred
  • Self-Starter
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and oral
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
