We are looking for a Commerce Architect with extensive knowledge and experience in developing and implementing custom experience/glass in a headless commerce implementation for our B2C and B2B client base, along with other opportunities to work on various eCommerce initiatives within our global commerce practice. You will be developing, analyzing and implementing large-scale abode commerce-based solution in composable architecture.

What You'll Do

  • Participate in commerce system design, development, and implementation using abode commerce.
  • Provide advanced-level technical design, development, testing, debugging and documentation skills
  • Interface with client technical leads and architects in support of integration design.
  • Create and maintain conceptual, logical and physical architecture deliverables for all layers of business-critical, complex or multi-functional applications. Ensure that all architecture artifacts are documented and kept updated and stored in a library to facilitate collaboration across business and technology organization.
  • Lead and/or participate in architecture reviews. Understand, advocate, and champion architecture principles and processes across development and architecture teams.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in commerce and enterprise architecture and infrastructure-related components that include hardware, software, network, cloud and operational methods to support business needs and security requirements.
  • Maintain current with industry trends in the context of rapidly developing technologies, determining the applicability of new technologies, and recommending appropriate usage.
  • Contribute to planning efforts, budget formulation and allocation of resources in support of the mission of Highlights and the IT department.
  • Development and implementation of short-term and long-term commerce architectural roadmap.
  • Enforce Magento best practices for development on the platform

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in designing, documenting and implementing complex technical architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to form and maintain collaborative partnerships across a complex organization with diverse constituencies; ability to build consensus on complex and sometimes controversial subjects. 5+ years of experience in PHP building object-oriented websites
  • 2+ years of experience with Magento/Adobe Commerce, ideally holding a leadership role on at least 2 full scale Magento/Adobe Commerce projects
  • Familiarity with the Model-View-Controller (MVC) architectural pattern, and previous experience developing web applications using this pattern or on existing MVC framework
  • Proficiency leveraging systems integration design patterns within the Magento for common e-commerce data such as Product Information, Customer Information, Order Information, etc.
  • Excellent client facing, verbal and written communication skills
