Trinity Washington University is seeking a dynamic educator to teach the 3-credit course is BIOL 214 and will be taught MW 9-10:15.
As biological data collection and analysis proliferates, scientist must develop and sharpen skills in data management and interpretation.
Bioinformatics - merging the fields of biology and computer science concerns the collection, storage, and analysis of large and complex biological data sets, comprised of materials such as DNA and molecular data. This class surveys the field of bioinformatics and its intersection with medicine, pharmaceutics, and biology, with topics such as gene comparison, evolutionary relationships between organisms, and more.
Qualifications: Successful candidates should have earned at least a Master's degree from an accredited institution in Biology or a related discipline with expertise in Bioinformatics and be able to demonstrate strong teaching skills.
Official transcripts for all degrees earned, sample course syllabi, course evaluations and/or other evidence of teaching effectiveness, and contact information for three professional references will be needed if the candidate is invited to campus for an interview. Knowledge of best teaching practices is required. Finalists will be invited for an interview and teaching demonstration.
