Accounts Payable Specialist

A well-established manfuacturing company in Phoenix is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team! This role supports the company in a myriad of ways and it a critical contributor to the accounting and finance team. This person will manage the incoming vendor calls and inquiries, review contracts and vendor accounts, process expense invoices, as well as handle the reonciliation of freight charges.

Essential Duties:

• Enter A/P invoices as approved/coded, reviewing all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval
• Verify the accuracy of A/P batch output to insure correct coding of vendor, cost center, general ledger account, invoice amount, etc.
• Reconcile vendor statements
• Responsible for annual 1099 process and verify supplier W9 accuracy.
• Assist with month-end and year-end fincnial closings.
• Complete tasks within deadlines, including monthly close deadlines.
• Research supplier requests for payment.
• Produce AP reports upon request.
