Assist in selling and promoting GFL's services to homeowners, businesses and industrial establishments by placing outgoing calls to current customers assigned for retention and handling incoming customer calls as needed. May manage certain customer accounts when directed by the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain all sales activity in the WI$HE$ sales tracking database.
• Conduct outgoing retention sales calls as well as prospecting calls as directed by General Manager.
• Provide quotes and other needed information to assigned customers to maximize the sales potential of the branch.
• Assist with Temp roll off call in requests, or assign requests to appropriate account manager if needed.
• May assist with customer requests for ETA of container delivery and missed pickups.
• May assist with incoming seasonal service increase/decrease that doesn't require a resign.
• Could assist with incoming service increase and decrease calls; record information and inform appropriate account manager to reach out to customer.
• Gather appropriate information from potential customers calling in for new business and have appropriate account manager call the potential customer back within 24 hours.
• Gather appropriate information from customers calling in to cancel and have appropriate account manager call the customer back within 24 hours.
• As needed, assisting in the appointment setting for Outside Sales Representative.
• Process work orders for sales team as needed.
• Perform projects as required by General Manager.
• Assist in collection activity on assigned accounts.
• Conform in all respects with applicable federal, state/provincial and local laws, regulations, ordinances and other orders and to all company policies, procedures and directives from supervisor.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.
• Maintain professionalism towards internal and external employees.
• Attend organized sales meetings.
• Attend scheduled training sessions.
• Meet or exceed monthly budgeted goals.

Requirements:
• Associate's degree or two (2) years college, bachelor's degree preferred.
• Knowledge or experience in solid waste industry desired.
• Two (2) to three (3) years of customer service/sales experience, preferably in the waste industry.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to speak conversational English.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers and the general public.
• Excellent customer service ability.

Physical/Mental Demands:
• Ability to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and climb.
• Visual Requirements: include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions:
• Noise level is usually moderate.
• Work in indoor office environment 90% of the time.
